Trump loses ground: Will He Pull the Trigger to Win?

The ongoing controversy between Tehran, Iran and Saudi Arabia puts the United States in a pickle. Here we have another incident, where allegedly, Iran is poking the bear. The proverbial bear is President Trump. How is it that Saudi Arabia gets to decide who the United States will retaliate against for the missile launch at the Saudi Arabian oil fields? Since when did we react at the behest of the Saudis. It makes me wonder the true intentions of the President of the United States. Trump goats easily. He is grasping desperately for a way to have a lock on the next election cycle. In an effort to ensure his re-election, will he pull the trigger to win?

We have been the number one superpower for as long as I can remember. Has it changed? In the face of Iran taunting President Trump, we appear weak. I commend his restraint to engage. However, had he not pulled out of the Iran nuclear arms deal, maybe these things would not have occurred? We know that everything with the current leader of the free world is a shell game. Now, he wants Russian help again where he allegedly asks Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden and his son as a way to get a leg up hoping to knock him out of the race. With Trump’s poll numbers down against the Democratic primary hopefuls, what other stunts will he try to guarantee a win next November 2020? Mind you, we are still five months away from the first vote in the Democratic Primary. Could it be that once Trump runs out of outlandish shenanigans, starting a conflict with a foreign body will be an option? Will he pull the trigger to win?

Our commander in Chief continues to play chicken with Iran while the whole world watches. He loves being on the world stage. I worry the negative press will push him into a corner, where once again, our military gets thrown in the middle of an endless mission. And now, the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson has vowed to jump into the fray with the United States should the powers that be decide to take action against Iran. Of course, other foreign nations are standing on the sidelines waiting and watching to see how the United States will answer. We all think the same thing, will he pull the trigger to win?

All of these events leave me breathless, concerned and shook. President Trump thrives on absolute control. The narrative has to be at his beckoning and not a foreign body. Yet, he doesn’t like that his chances for re-election dwindle before his eyes. His objective is always to win even when it is possible that he can lose. Aside from turning to the Russians for help, there is only one card left to play to ensure victory. The question is will he pull the trigger to win?
