It has been ages since I’ve put out a children’s book. The last book I published for children was by a new author under my imprint. The “From the Mind of a Five-Year-Old” series debuted over five years ago. The book is still reaching new audiences, and the young author is now into poetry. My first children’s book was “Why Grammie Why?” and is still the favorite amongst fans who support my work. However, it’s time for a new children’s book release, and I’m here to tell you all about it.
The new fable story setting is in an enchanted forest. It is by no means scary for children. The main characters are two frogs, Romeo and Ramona. They are siblings. Romeo has desires beyond being a happy frog sleeping on lily pads and playing with his sister. Of course, it’s a short story with beautiful full-color pictures so that the little ones can visualize the plight of Romeo. I believe the message is something that will resonate with children as well as the adults who are reading it to them. Here is a sample of the opening of the story:

“I Wish to be More Than I Am” is the new children’s book release title. Children will love the vivid picture and be able to understand the premise behind it. It took about six months to get the artwork collaboration done. I enlisted my grandchildren to draw elements necessary to bring the characters to life. While I couldn’t use everything they submitted, their efforts were exceptional. They gave me a lot of drawings to choose from. I had to be a colorist on some characters, and I like that some of it, you can see where it’s hand-drawn or colored.
Once the proofs returned and my grandchildren and I went through them as a collective team, the final arrangement began, and we agreed that it was ready for public consumption. I hope that you grab a copy for the little ones in your life. The new children’s book release, I Wish to be More Than I Am, is available now. Click here to get your copy today.
