The summer solstice has arrived. We have consistent daytime heating with plenty of sunshine. Parks are filling to the brim with families, independent sports teams, and fitness enthusiasts. I have so many plans for summer 2025, and I’m going to share a few.
Plans for Summer 2025
Fitness – I plan on increasing my focus on fitness time. Currently, I walk and slow jog 3-4 miles, six days a week, weather permitting. I can get it done in one hour and one minute. It’s time to stretch myself. Therefore, I am adding more miles to my daily trek. The goal is to reach seven miles a day. Today, I made it through a six-mile walk. I feel accomplished, not as drained as I thought I would be. My pace is a sixteen-minute mile.
Nutrition – Cooking is something that I enjoy, and light meals are on the menu. Grilled salmon, roasted chicken, and an occasional grilled steak are in my protein rotation. The veggie scene will range from raw to steamed. My main fruit intake will be watermelon and blueberries. However, I will never give up ice cream or cookies. Making an effort to eat better doesn’t mean being clean.
Recreational Activity – Swim lessons are on my radar this season. I can float, but I need to learn how to tread water. There are several indoor recreational centers where I can sign up for lessons. I need to be able to swim the full length of a standard pool before the season changes again.
These are just a few of my plans for summer 2025. Everything is in motion and attainable. Maybe I can add a long weekend trip every month as a reward for my accomplishments. Nothing motivates me more than the idea of a luxurious getaway.
I hope that you have fantastic plans for summer 2025.
